Whistler is a fantastic winter playground, and every year it seems to get just that little bit better! For the skiers and snowboarders this is old news but if you really don't fancy attaching planks of wood to your feet and letting gravity take over there are still masses of things to do while the addicts in your group get their fix!
If you would like to view the scenery - and it is spectacular, at a slightly more sedate pace, then cross country skiing or snow shoeing may provide the answer. If you really would rather someone else was doing the work there are dog sleds and sleigh rides to consider. The latest addition for thrill seekers of all ages is the tube park on Blackcomb. The Meadow Park sports centre has an ice rink where you can practice your spins or watch the local ice hockey team.
If the thought of getting cold abhors you then stay indoors at one of the many world class spas - spend the day being pampered! At the end of the day you can compare notes with the diehard skiers and snowboarders over a cold beer, a local red or a sumptious meal at one of the many world class restaurants in the village.
